- Preventing misuse - blocking automated submissions and checking that enquiries were received and e-mailed
- Improving the website - visit statistics on which site visitors came from and which pages they viewed
This website has no membership sign-up and does not collect personal information from children under 14.

4Provision to third parties
We do not provide your personal information to third parties, except where you have separately agreed or where Articles 17 and 18 of the Act otherwise allow, such as special provisions in law.

| Google LLC | Sending enquiry e-mails and storing them in the Company mailbox (Gmail) |
Under Article 26 of the Act, our arrangements with contractors limit processing to the outsourced task and cover security measures, restrictions on sub-contracting and liability, and we supervise their processing. Any change of contractor or task will be announced in this policy.

We receive and send website enquiries through Google LLC's e-mail service (Gmail), so enquiry information is transferred overseas as follows (Article 28-8(1)(3) of the Act).

7Destruction
- When - Personal information is destroyed without delay once its retention period ends or its purpose is achieved. Enquiry and visit records are kept in monthly files, and records older than one year are deleted.
- How - Electronic files are deleted so that they cannot be recovered; paper documents are shredded or incinerated.
- Where other laws require retention - Such information is stored separately from other personal information.
8Your rights and how to exercise them
- You may at any time ask to access, correct, delete or suspend the processing of your personal information, or withdraw your consent (Articles 35 to 37 of the Act).
- You can make a request in writing, by phone or by e-mail to the department in section 11. We will act without delay (within 10 days).
- A legal representative or another person you authorise may also make a request, with a power of attorney in the form prescribed by the Notice on Methods of Processing Personal Information (Form 11).
- Deletion cannot be requested where another law requires the information to be collected, and a request to suspend processing may be refused under Article 37(2) of the Act.
- We confirm that the person making the request is you or your legitimate representative.
- You can delete your own news comments with the password you set when posting.
9Security measures
- Administrative - Only the staff who need it for their work handle personal information.
- Technical - Encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the whole website, password-controlled access to the admin pages, blocked external access to the server folder holding enquiry records, one-way hashing of comment passwords, and blocking of automated submissions.
- Physical - The server runs in the access-controlled facility of our hosting provider, Cafe24 Corp.
10Automatic collection and how to refuse it
- This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising or analytics tools.
- To help us improve the website, our own server records which site you came from and which pages you viewed (see "Visit log" in section 2). No IP address is kept. To group the pages of one visit, a random number is kept in your browser's session storage and cleared when you close the window.
- To avoid counting a news view twice in the same window, and to return you to the list you were browsing, we leave a marker in session storage. It is never sent to us and is cleared when you close the window.
- The maps on the Company and Contact pages load external map services (Google Maps, OpenStreetMap), which may use cookies under their own policies.
- For operation and security, the web server may automatically record IP addresses, access times, requested addresses and browser information.
- You can block cookies and site data in your browser settings; this does not affect your use of the website, and no visit log is recorded.
